It is with great sadness that we learned today of the death of Dr. Mihoko Matsuda Nelsen. She and her husband, Bill were killed in a small plane crash 10 days ago in Oregon.   Dr. Nelsen was an esteemed and talented neurologist at Huntington Hospital for many years. Her calm demeanor, deep knowledge and compassionate care of patients were inspiring to all of us who trained under her and worked with her.  In 2007, she joined Team Tanzania and spread that wisdom and caring to many people in East Africa.  Mihoko was a serene, funny and beautiful soul and she will be greatly missed. We know that part of her spirit is adrift in the clouds over Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.  Fika Salama, rafiki.
